Combat for Beginners

Introduction

Combat is an important and exiting part of the game. Often situations cant be solved diplomatically, when that happens violence is the only remaining answer.

Every Agent is trained for these inevitable combat situations.

This is a brief for trainee agents to get prepared for their first field mission. Combat skills may vary but these lessons are vital for completing a mission smoothly.

Additionally after you complete combat training, you will be able to efficiently and effectively help your fellow agents in combat.

Finding and knowing the different dice types used is vital to knowledgeable and efficient gameplay. Town uses a fork of the D20 system meaning it uses dice from other D20 systems like D&D. D20 dice set include dice that are Four sided to Twenty sided. Its best to sort and identify your dice before starting the game.

Often Weapons will need multiple dice types and amounts to be rolled.  These are often shortened acronyms like 2D8, This legend will help you to read and understand what dice are needed and how many to roll.

In this example you would roll four, six sided dice. then add your total. That total is the damage done by your weapon. Weapon dice and amounts my vary so follow the dice amount on its card.

This gun as an example is 1D20

Meaning you roll one, twenty sided dice.

What if there is a plus behind your dice. 2D8+4 as an example.

Well roll your dice first (2D8) then add your total (lets say 12) to the additional damage +4 (in this example 16 total damage).

This gun as an example is 1D6+4.

Meaning you roll one, six sided dice, then add 4 to the number rolled for the total damage done.
